Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Reports to the Lead Sonographer and Department Supervisor. Rotates call and holidays with other Sonographers.
High school diploma or equivalent. Ultrasound technology courses required; graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred.
Radiologic Technologists and Technicians / American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (OB or AB or RVT)* OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(S) or RT(VS) OR Cardiovascular credentialing International (CCI) RVS OR Performing ultrasound prior to and continuously since October 1996, and ? Evaluated by responsible physician to assure competence. Must have at least 1 specialty.
