Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab
Coordinates and delivers patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model. Provides professional nursing care for patients in assigned areas according to established procedures. Works within clinical setting of Cardiac Catheterization Lab to ensure maintenance of a high standard of patient care and physician satisfaction.
Graduate of an accredited program in nursing. Must have a current MS RN license. ACLS is required.
Minimum Work Experience: Sufficient previous clinical experience in all aspects of nursing preferred. ER or Critical care experience strongly preferred. Previous experience in Cath Lab preferred, but not required.
Required Skills: Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Requires good judgment in delivering patient care; good oral and written communication skills; ability to function in stressful situations; current BLS within 3 months and advanced resuscitation as per area's requirement.
Must be willing to rotate shifts, days off and work area; may occasionally be required to work overtime. Must have flexibility in work time to meet the needs of the area, including call. Call is required.
