The Quality Outcomes Analyst is responsible primarily for reviewing data, including charts and databases to identify operational and medical staff opportunities for improvement. The Quality Outcomes Analyst monitors federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory agency requirements as they relate to Performance Improvement. The Quality Outcomes Analyst assists hospital staff, senior leadership and physicians with functions requiring measurement and data analysis.
Experience: 5 years in a health care setting
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Licensed Professional
Performs the functions of performance improvement as they relate to core measures, medical staff quality, internal and external quality reviews, and root cause/intense analyses. Designs and implements efficient and effective processes to meet the outcomes related to these functions. Maintains accurate and timely documentation. Responsible for reporting outcomes to operational workgroups and physician leaders. Responsible for performing retrospective and concurrent audits of patient charts to determine if physicians meet best practice standards. Responsible for developing audit tools as needed. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the organization is compliant with most current best practice standards. Responsible for recommending organizational or physician practice process changes to yield more desirable outcomes. Promotes the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by remaining current with the latest trends in field of expertise through participation in jobrelevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations.
