Description:

St. Catherine's Village is seeking an outstanding Director to manage the overall administration, direction and operation of the Alzheimer's Assisted Living and Long Term Care facility. The Director will be responsible for the operation of the Alzheimer's program and will coordinate all program, services and activities to ensure compliance with established standards and promote public relations; directs the formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards of care/practice for the facility. 

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, with courses in management, long term care administration, gerontology, or related subjects.
 
Minimum Work Experience:
Two to three years supervisory experiences preferred. Experience in dementia care.

 Required Skills:
Qualities of leadership, initiative, sound decision making, a high degree of diplomacy; ability to understand and communicate with others; ability to delegate effectively, systematize a procedure, interpret and maintain policies, and assess the management skills of others so as to select qualified persons.

Job Duties:
Supports, interprets and carries out the mission and values of St. Catherine's Village.
Responsible for all operations both internal and external in order to ensure that the direct personal care needs of the residents are met.
Coordinates all program, services and activities to ensure compliance with established standards and promote public relations; directs the formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards of care/practice for the facility.
Responsible for the operation of the Alzheimer's program at Campbell Cove/Hughes Center.
Directs Campbell Cove Quality Assurance Program to assure its appropriate function within the parameter of he Village-wide Quality Assurance Program.
Conducts assessments to select new residents to ensure appropriate function within the parameter of the Village-wide Quality Assurance Program.
Conducts assessments to select new residents to ensure appropriate placement and maximum occupancy, as well as continued monitoring of resident level of care needs.
Serves as a member of St. Catherine's administrative committees as assigned.
Keeps current in professional, managerial and technical areas; stays informed of innovative program concepts, especially those for dementia, and incorporates these into the existing program.
Establishes and defines reporting relationships and accountability at Campbell Cove/Hughes Center.
Reviews compliance of the facility with all federal, state, and local regulations to maintain all licenses and to ensure the facility operates according to the Mississippi State Personal Care Home regulations and division policies.
Continually reviews the physical condition of the home and directs its maintenance to ensure a safe environment for the residents.
Maintains a high standard of professional appearance and conduct for personnel and facilities.
Works to enhance family, volunteer, and community relations.
Responsible for recruitment, selection, direction, and retention of competent personnel to ensure adequate levels of staff to meet resident needs.
Supervises and evaluates performances of all employees with direct reporting relationship.
Assures employee compliance with St.Catherine's and Campbell Cove/Hughes policies and procedures.
Administers personnel policies uniformly and fairly.
Develops and maintains a master staffing plan for the facility.
Responsible for ongoing monitoring of the financial status of the facility aimed at developing an efficient financial operation that meets the needs and annual goals and objectives of the facility and projects.
Operates Campbell Cove/Hughes Center facility within established fiscal guidelines with attention to supply levels, staff levels, and budget expenditures.
Authorizes purchases of non-capital equipment and supplies within budgetary constraints.
Prepares required budgets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
