Assumes ultimate responsibility for the coordination and evaluation of the activities of Emergency Services, including patient care management, resource management, fiscal management and adherence to regulatory standards as well as medical policies and procedures. Reports to Vice President of Patient Care Services.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent required, Master's degree preferred, along with previous nursing experience with at least two years' management experience.
Current Mississippi RN license.
Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. Requires effective communication and marketing skills, leadership and managerial abilities in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating managerial practices. This position has been determined to have a high risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
