Responsible for coordinating all activities toward meeting the hospital's goals within the Patient Care Services Division. Participates as a member of Hospital Administration in formulating goals, direction and strategies for the organization. Assumes an active leadership role with the hospital's governing body, medical staff, management and other clinical leaders in the hospital's decision-making structure and process. Serves as the chief nursing officer as specified by the MS Board of Nursing, and, in alignment with hospital nursing practices and St. Dominic Hospital policy, provides oversight of the nursing organization. Drives accountability for compliance with external standards and regulatory bodies, including but not limited to MS Board of Nursing, CMS and Joint Commission. Promotes a systematic enhancement of the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing services administration, and the delivery of services within St. Dominic Hospital. Reports to the Executive Vice President of Operations.
Master's degree in healthcare, business administration, or nursing required. Ability to obtain Mississippi RN license, certification in nursing administration desired. Must have minimum of 7-10 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a director of multiple, complex nursing departments. Experience with flexible scheduling highly desired.
