Assists Sr. Applications Analysts and Supervisor with applications critical to the business functions of the organization, to include analysis and design of data elements required to support the software applications, and to assist in the implementation and deployment of the applications. Serves as a technical resource for clinical and non-clinical assigned departments and affiliates and facilitates training in systems and applications. Provides for smooth daily operations of information technology, quick resolution to problems and effective decisions related to new software and/or hardware. Installs and maintains software, system upgrades, and hardware additions. Works in database development, system management, daily testing and reporting, and data quality review. Reports to Applications Supervisor.
B.S. degree in science, business administration, information management or clinical sciences related field
Minimum Work Experience: For clinical systems analysts, experience in healthcare related field preferred. Minimum two years applicable experience required.
In lieu of B. S. Degree, may have associate degree with three years relevant experience in programming, system design, clinical or business system support. Must have experience in data analysis tools, such as MS Access, MS Excel, SQL query, and TOAD. Must have Windows OS skills require. Windows server and UNIX server skills preferred. Good knowledge of various types of applications, databases, and operating systems required. Exceptional analyticial thinking skills required. Ability to use tools such as MS Power Point, MS Project, MS Visio.
Preferred to have skills in report and query writing utilizing SQL query or other tools. Requires verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to articulate ideas and utilize active listening to solicit information. Willingness to learn new systems. Customer focused attitude. Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
