Dominican Sisters who were called to lead a life of service to God founded St. Dominic’s in 1946 in response to a community need for choice and access to hospital care. Their respect for all human life is evident in the compassionate care given to all who are in need of help and healing within our community.
The Sisters established and continue to operate St. Dominic Health Services and its subsidiaries as a ministry of Christian healing. Those who choose to obtain a job within the ministry are required to embrace their philosophy of service and compassion in order to preserve the mission for today and future generations.
St. Dominic's Mission Statement
